Setup Guide
You'll need the following information to set up your ConnectWise App with Iconnek SYNC:

Preparing the connection
Create an API member
- Click + to create a new API member.
- Enter an email address (must be a functioning company email).
- Set a generic member name such as
Iconnek API. There is a known issue in ConnectWise where the API member's name is used instead of the note owner when logging notes on behalf of a user. - Under System, select the Role ID
Adminor a custom security role (see custom role details at the end of this guide). - Under System, set Level* to
Corporate. - Complete remaining required fields as needed. Non‑required fields can be left blank or with default values.
- Click Save.

Create an API Key
- Open the API member created for Iconnek and go to the API Keys tab.
- Click + to create a new API Key.
- Set Description to
API-Key, then click Save. - Copy and securely store the Private Key. It is only shown once at creation time.
