Understanding iconnek SYNC Billing
Action-Based Pricing Model
SYNC employs a usage-based billing system that charges based on the number of actions executed across all your scenarios. In this context, an "action" refers to a node running within your scenario.
INFO
To configure your plan and learn more about its inclusions and limitations, go to Configuration > Subscription.
Key Points to Understand:
- Billing Formula: Your monthly charges are calculated based on the total number of node executions across all your scenarios.
- Scenario Efficiency Matters: The more frequently your scenarios run, the more actions they consume. This makes optimization crucial for cost management.
- Node Count Impact: Complex scenarios with many nodes will consume more actions than streamlined scenarios with fewer nodes performing the same function.
Free Trial Option
SYNC offers a limited free version for testing and evaluation purposes:
- Action Limit: 500 actions per month
- Purpose: Ideal for testing integration concepts and familiarizing yourself with the platform
- Upgrading: Once you exceed 500 actions, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan to continue using the service
Subscription Plans
SYNC offers several plans that include a predetermined number of actions:
- When your allocated actions are fully consumed, your automations will stop running until the beginning of the next billing cycle
- You can upgrade to a larger plan at any time to immediately increase your action allowance
- Usage monitoring is available through the Dashboard, allowing you to track consumption and plan accordingly
Optimizing Your Usage
To manage costs effectively:
- Consolidate similar functions within fewer nodes when possible
- Schedule scenarios to run only when necessary rather than at frequent intervals
- Use filtering early in your workflows to reduce unnecessary processing
- Monitor your action consumption regularly through the SYNC dashboard
- Consider batch processing instead of individual processing where appropriate
Understanding this pricing model helps ensure you design cost-effective integration scenarios that achieve your objectives while maintaining reasonable operating costs.
